Melt butter and both cheeses in a double boiler over very low heat. Drain peas and save liquid. Gently mash peas with a fork. Stir in the garlic, onion, jalapeno, and peas into the melted cheese. This with reserved liquid from peas if too thick. Serve warm with corn tortilla chips, pita chips, or fresh veggies.
