Jones High School is still recovering from the fire that took place on its campus over a week ago. The local elementary and middle schools are now in session, but the doors to the high school remain closed.

Teachers are moving to temporary locations in the church across the street in preparation of classes resuming. School officials will place six portable buildings next to the school as well.

"I'm very confident that by the end of this week we'll have portables set up. And by the time the kids come back from Christmas Break, we'll have some semblance of a regular efficient classroom set up in the portables, but still a good educational setting," Jones High School Principal Carl Johnson said.

Classes are canceled again today for the high school, but officials say they expect classes to resume as soon as tomorrow.
