Edmond teenager kidnapped

Posted: Updated:

A 16-year-old boy was assaulted and kidnapped late last night from the Aspen Athletic Club in Edmond.

Edmond Police said the teenager was leaving the club when a masked man with a gun forced the child into a sports utility vehicle and told to drive. The teenager was told to pull over near Interstate 35 and the Kilpatrick Turnpike after the suspect got a call on his cell phone.

The suspect allegedly got out of the SUV to talk and noticed the teen trying to use his cell phone.

"Then he physically attacked the young man, now with his gun, but with his fist. And he hit him several times," Police spokeswoman Glynda Chu said..

The man then took off on foot, police said. But police only have a vague description of the suspect: a white male, six feet tall, who was dressed in a black pullover, black Dickie jeans, a ski mask and black gloves.

The boy is not seriously hurt and at home. If you have any information call Edmond Crime Stoppers at 359-4466.
