**Editor’s Note: This story has been updated with new information from Tulsa Police with confirmation that she was armed with two knives, not one as initially reported.
Tulsa Police have identified the woman shot and killed during an officer-involved shooting as 49-year-old Danielle Lee Fisher. Officers say Fisher confronted them with two knives when they responded to a disturbance call late Saturday night.
The incident happened around 9 p.m. near Admiral Place and 193rd East Avenue after a neighbor reported a domestic disturbance involving knives.
Officers spoke with a neighbor before approaching the home. As they knocked on the door, Fisher came out holding two large kitchen knives, according to police.
An officer fired when she advanced toward them. Fisher was struck, and officers immediately began first aid. She later died from her injuries.
Initial reports stated that the woman was unclothed at the time of the shooting, but police have since clarified that she was wearing a dress. A man inside the home was the individual who was not clothed.
No officers or bystanders were injured in the incident.
Homicide detectives are reviewing surveillance video and interviewing multiple witnesses.
Police say toxicology results from the medical examiner are still pending.
