The beginning of an exciting new chapter for Tulsa’s tennis community is underway. New indoor courts at the LaFortune Park Case Tennis Center are now open following a year of work.
LaFortune Park has provided tennis to players of all ages and skill levels for decades. What began as just six courts in 1970 has evolved into one of the nation’s top tennis facilities. That legacy grew even stronger as the park’s Case Tennis Center celebrated the grand opening of its latest expansion. Thanks to over $6 million raised through federal sources and private donors, the expansion adds three indoor courts to the Case Tennis Center.
The center now consists of six indoor courts and 21 outdoor courts. Tulsa County Commissioner, Kelly Dunkerley, says the courts will serve everyone from youth and adult leagues to wheelchair athletes and other special needs players.
“It's really a multi-age facility, services all those people, it’s open to everybody in Tulsa County,” he said.
The Case Tennis Center isn’t just keeping up with the game - it’s setting the pace for the future of the sport in Tulsa.
The facility will be open for people to play starting May 12th. The courts will be open to the public, but must be reserved. It costs $10 per person.
