Animal rescue organizers say animals, supplies lost in Choctaw barn fire

Firefighters responded to a fire Tuesday morning at an animal rescue barn in Choctaw.

An animal rescue center caught fire Tuesday morning in Choctaw, according to firefighters.

The Choctaw Police Department said the scene is located at a barn owned by Fur Ever Friends Rescue along Redbud Road near Henney Road in Choctaw.

Choctaw Police said many animals were saved from the flames, but some were lost.

CPD said one of the owners of the barn reported seeing smoke before calling for help, although the cause of the fire is not yet known.
