What is the weather like this week?

Temperatures slowly return to near-normal by Tuesday, with warmer air later this week, until a cold plunge arrives!

Snowfall from Thursday's winter storm is gradually melting, primarily on grassy areas and roads exposed to sunlight. However, shaded areas and lesser-traveled roads may still have slick spots.

Snowfall Highlights:

  1. Eastern and Southeastern Oklahoma: 10–12 inches
  2. Northwestern Oklahoma: 3–8 inches
  3. Central Oklahoma: 2–6 inches, including 3.6 inches in Oklahoma City


Oklahoma City's snowfall for the month is now above the January average of 1.8 inches, reaching 3.1 inches.

Looking Ahead

  1. Midweek: Temperatures rebound into the 50s, providing milder conditions.
  2. Next Weekend: A cold front brings arctic air, with highs in the 20s by Sunday and a slight chance of snow.
