Movie Producers Audition OKC Metro Choirs For Movie At Green Pastures Studio

Film producers are in Oklahoma City auditioning local talent for a major motion picture set to be shot at Green Pastures Studio. 

We’ve heard it for quite a while now, Oklahoma’s film industry is taking off. So, when producers called on Green Pastures Studios to shoot their next movie. They wanted a local choir for the all-important finally 

“We have some very talented choirs in Oklahoma,” Green Pastures Studio co-owner Melodie Garneau said. “I mean these are some great voices. I don’t know how they are going to pick one. I, fortunately, am not one of the judges.”

Deonna Marie is one of the judges and she knows exactly what she’s looking for from a choir.

“For me, music is a feeling and not a sound, and so, it is important to me that you give me goosebumps,” Marie said. “I want to know that you feel something in your soul.” 

One by one, the incredibly talented choirs made their into auditions for the movie being filmed right here in Oklahoma City. 

“I mean, it’s cool that this is happening right here in Oklahoma, Oklahoma City,” Kelly Moore with Canterbury Voice said. “And we would just love to get in on it and be a part of it.”

Montrae Tisdale and The Friends Chorale waited patiently for their time to shine. 

“I’m not really nervous, but I don’t know, are y’all nervous?” Tisdale asked his choir. 

Shooting for the movie is scheduled to start in February, but we are still a long way away from seeing it on the big screen.

“So, we’re filming for about four or five weeks and then there’s editing and there’s reshoots and that’s a couple of months,” Garneau said.

The choirs will find out in a couple of weeks which will be in the film.
