City Of Oklahoma City Updates Debris Cleanup From October Storms

Crews with the City's Solid Waste Management division have begun clean-up in the areas impacted by the storms that struck the OKC metro on October 13.

Customers whose sustained tree and limb damage during the October 15 storm will need to put their debris to the curb in time for crews to begin working those areas on Monday, October 25.

As always, customers are reminded to:

* Cut trees and limbs into sections of no longer than 10 feet each.

* Do not MIX trees and limbs in with regular bulky trash. Keep the piles separate and do not co-mingle them.

* Do not cover sidewalks or your water meter.

* Make sure trees and limbs are not near mailboxes, fire hydrants, vehicles or other obstructions. Crews need to be able to pick up the debris from their boom trucks.

* Leaves should be bagged and placed in your Big Blue cart for weekly collection. Do not set any bags out separately from your trash carts, or set them out with your Bulky Trash. The City is no longer picking up bagged trash that is not contained in carts.
