State Archaeologist: Man Found In Mass Grave ‘Bears Evidence Of Trauma’

A major development was announced Thursday in the search for answers at a mass grave site at Oaklawn Cemetery.

Scientists said the body of a man recovered from the mass grave shows evidence of trauma. They did not go into detail about what kind of trauma or what it means for the investigation into the 1921 Tulsa Race Massacre.

The team also announced they’re done with the work that requires heavy machinery. We’re expected to learn more during a media briefing Friday at noon.
