At the NCAA Track and Field Championships Wednesday night in Eugene, Oregon, a University of Tulsa runner claimed a national title.

The men’s 10,000 meters was a tight race down the stretch, but TU’s Patrick Dever takes the inside lane and goes on to win – in record time.

He shattered a meet record set in 1979 and breaks his personal best in the event by more than 46 seconds.
