April is National Donate Life Month, so it’s a perfect time to shine a light on a local organization helping transplant patients and their families.
TRIO helps pre- and post-transplant patients and their families through support, advocacy, education and awareness.
Cody and Kellie Reynold's daughter Elaina was born prematurely at 32 weeks with a rare liver disease that will require a transplant.
If you'd like to help the Reynolds' family, they have a GoFundMe set up.
Dollar General Hiring Event
Dollar General will hold an in-person hiring event to fill their new distribution center in Ardmore.
The event runs from 1 to 3 p.m. at their distribution center off General Drive.

Nurse Scholarship & Course Refresh
$2,000 scholarships are available fore any nurse making a return to the medical field or just starting out. The scholarship will pay for in person or virtual refresher courses at tech schools across the state.

OCCHD Vaccine POD
You can still make an appointment to get a COVID-19 vaccine Wednesday at the state fairgrounds.
First and second doses of Pfizer and Moderna vaccines will be available, along with the Johnson and Johnson vaccine.

Oklahoma Boy Recovering After Bus Crash
A 12-year-old Oklahoma boy is recovering at a Missouri hospital after crashing into a school bus while riding a bicycle in Ponca City.
In just two days, a Go Fund Me page launched by friends has helped raised over $30,000 for medical and rehabilitation expenses.
