Oklahoma City firefighters responded to a fire call at a residence on the northwest side of Oklahoma City.

Firefighters responded to the call just after 7:30 p.m. Saturday near the intersection of Northwest 10th Street and North May Avenue.

A person described by fire officials as the homeowner was outside of the residence when they arrived on scene.

The supposed homeowner told firefighters his daughter was still inside recovering from surgery, but firefighters said they did not locate another person in the residence following primary and secondary searches of the home.

Firefighters describe the home as "significantly damaged" after the fire was extinguished.

The fire has caused Northwest 10th Street to be closed in both directions between Interstate 44 and North May Avenue.
