Oklahoma Veteran, OU Professor Gets Grand Drive-By Sendoff Before Moving Away

An Oklahoma veteran received a grand send-off from the University of Oklahoma College of Engineering.

Family and friends held a drive-by parade to salute Major General Jerry Holmes.

Holmes served for more than 30 years in the Air Force and taught leadership classes at OU for nearly 20 years. Now he is moving to Arizona to be closer to his family.

Holmes said, "Now my family wants Arizonaove to arizona cause I have no more family meOklahomare in oklahoma and so I'm moving out there but I have my OU family here."

Holmes said he is already looking forward to his next trip back to Oklahoma.
