OHP Pursuit Ends With Deadly Crash In SW OKC

Oklahoma Highway Patrol Troopers on Wednesday morning engaged in a pursuit that ended near 5800 Southwest 119th Street. According to troopers, the pursuit began at I-240 and Western after troopers searched the vehicle's license plate and it came up as stolen. Troopers added that at one point in the pursuit, the suspects drove through a field on the property of a school.

Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers on Wednesday morning engaged in a pursuit Wednesday that ended near 5800 Southwest 119th Street.

According to troopers, the pursuit began at I-240 and Western after troopers determined the vehicle's license plate had been stolen.

OHP confirmed one of the suspects was killed. The condition of the two other suspects is not known at this time.

At one point in the pursuit, the suspects drove through a field on the property of a school.

The Oklahoma City Police Department was called in to help and officers eventually were able to end the chase after they performed a tactical maneuver that led to the suspect spinning out.

Authorities said two of the three suspects inside were ejected from the vehicle.

Southwest 119th Street between Rockwell and Meridian was closed, but the road has since been reopened.
