Norman Mayor Receives Alleged Death Threat

Norman Mayor Breea Clark was allegedly the target of a threat over the weekend.

According to the mayor, she was running Saturday in Sutton Wilderness Park when two residents allegedly stopped her and told her they overheard a man ask, "Is that Breea Clark? I want to run her over with my car."

A police report was filed.

In a statement, Clark said: "My family and I have to take these threats seriously, and it's unfortunate that we live in a world where they have become a regular occurrence. Now more than ever we need to support each other and treat each other with grace."

Norman Police are investigating.
