Oklahoma City police responded to multiple shots fired calls shortly after 5 p.m. Sunday at an apartment complex near the intersection of Southeast 15th Street and High Avenue.

When officers arrived at the scene, they identified a possible male suspect in the parking lot.

They asked him to take his hands out of his pockets. Police said the suspect then produced a weapon.

An officer fired one round but no one was hit. The suspect was taken into custody.

Police said they are investigating the type of weapon the suspect had as well as his involvement in the initial shots fired call.

“We responded to several shots, several calls of shots fired, but we don’t know, if he was, in what way he was involved in the initial call,” OCPD Capt. Dan Stewart said.

Police said they will release more information on the man in custody in the coming days.
