Oklahoma City Public Schools plan to bring back Pre-K and kindergarteners on a staggered A-B schedule, as long as the state’s new COVID-19 Alert Map shows Oklahoma County’s infection rate stays the same when it’s released Friday.
The district released a video on it’s YouTube Channel, to walk families through the changes they can expect in class.
Teachers and students will have their temperatures taken first thing when they walk through the doors and everyone is required to wear masks.
Hand sanitizer will be available in classrooms and there will be a focus on hand washing.
The district will also use deep clean mist to disinfect classrooms and offices.
All students will learn virtually from home on Monday with their teachers to help get ready for the week and keep everyone on schedule.
Group A students will go to school in person on Tuesdays and Thursdays, while Group B is learning from home.
On Wednesdays and Fridays, the groups will switch.
The rest of the students will get their group assignments after Fall Break before they go back to class on November 9th.
