Far fewer fans are expected to head to Dallas on Friday for the big Red River Showdown this weekend.

Cotton Bowl Stadium officials said fans will want to get there early, bring a face mask, and will not be able to tailgate.

For the first time in 91 years, the State Fair of Texas will not be happening outside of the stadium.

There will be a few Fletcher’s Corny Dog stands open, but the rest of the fair is shut down because of the pandemic.

The Cotton Bowl Stadium said capacity is limited to 25% because of COVID-19.

All fans that make it inside, will be required to wear masks that cover noses and mouths, expect for when they’re eating or drinking.

Face shields, gaiters, buffs, bandanas, and masks with valves are not allowed.

Stadium officials want fans to get there early, so there’s plenty of time for security checks.

Parking lots open at 8 a.m. on Saturday, and costs $25 per car.

There will be no valet parking.

Kick off is set for 11 a.m. Saturday.

Leading up to the showdown, OU Head Coach Lincoln Riley said his team is focused on fixing the problems from the Sooner’s back to back losses.

“We’ve made some mistakes in the 4th that we haven’t made in the rest of these games. That has to get adjusted and that’s something I have to do a better job with as well,” said Coach Riley. “I think [the players are] trying to do a little bit too much and wanting to win so bad, that they feel like they’ve got to do something super human as opposed to just keep doing your job.”
