The grand reopening is one week away for a local nonprofit, Dress for Success, that was destroyed during downtown Oklahoma City riots in May.

The unveiling will be virtual and will give people the first official peek inside the nonprofit's brand new home. The new building is in the heart of Downtown OKC, just off of North Robinson Avenue and West Main Street.

Leaders with Dress for Success said seeing their last space gone was just overwhelming. But ever since that night, people have reached out to make reopening possible.

"Corporate sponsors, organizations began to reach out and say what can they do how can they support us," said Necie Black Vice Chairwoman for Dress for Success. "We want you to rebuild because we know what you do for women is so amazing. We got your back."

Staff with Dress for Success have said there are some major benefits of the new location, including it's close to all public transportation. It also should provide room to expand programs, financial literacy courses, job retention skills and more.

The virtual grand opening is Wednesday, October 14 at 11 a.m. They will be unveiling the space live on the nonprofits official Facebook page.
