OSDE Guidelines For Reopening Schools

The Oklahoma State Department of Education updated its recommendations to school districts handling COVID-19 pandemic.  

The updated guidelines, which were approved on Friday, provide suggestions to district administrators on what actions to take relative to the local infection rate.

Norman Voter Registration Day

In an effort to register voters ahead of election day, a multi-cultural registration event is taking place Tuesday evening.

Rock the Native Vote, Voto Latino and the Oklahoma City Thunder will host a family-friendly registration event, promoting National Voter Registration Day.

The event is from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday.

There will be live music, giveaways and Native and Latino dance demonstrations.

The Oklahoma City Thunder's Chris Paul, and co-hose of "When We All Vote", will interview former first lady Michelle Obama, Tuesday.

The non-profit aims to increase voter turnout and encourage people tp let their voices be heard on election day.

Kendra Horn Election Security Town Hall

Oklahoma Democratic Congresswoman Kendra Horn will host a virtual town hall at 2 p.m. Tuesday to address threats to election security.

Representatives from the state and Oklahoma County election boards will be panelists.

Karl Fontenote Hearing

A federal court will hear the appeal for an Oklahoman man, featured in the Netflix documentary "The Innocent Man."

Karl Fontenot was released from prison last year after more than three decades behind bars for an Ada murder.

The hearing will be held over zoon and will be live streamed on YouTube.

OSU-OKC Fair Foods Event

There may not be a State Fair this year, but you can still score some of your favorite fair foods!

Oklahoma State University - Oklahoma City has teamed up with State fair food vendors and is hosting fair food vendors September 21 through the 27 from 3 to 8 p.m.

Oklahoma State Fair's 2nd Fair Food Event

Back by popular demand, the Oklahoma State Fair will host another fair food event at the OKC Fairgrounds in October.

Oklahomans will have a second chance to fill up on their fair food favorites from Oct. 1 to 4.

This event will feature ten food vendors who are staples at the annual Oklahoma State Fair. Visitors can look forward to cinnamon rolls, Poncho Dogs, root beer and more.
