We're recognizing the men and women who have served our country.
On Sept. 16, we're honoring Navy veteran Shy Manning.
He will turn 100 years old on October 10 this year!
He survived a decoy sneak attack by the Japanese in Guadacanal that sunk his ship in 17 minutes.
He was one of 35 survivors. He retired in 2019 at 99 years of age but still goes to his office five to six days a week.
Shy credits his longevity to staying busy.
Thank you Shy for all you do!
