The rivalry renews Friday night at Alan Trimble Stadium with the backyard bowl, 2020.

It’s been over two decades since Union and Jenks have played in Jenks.

The bragging rights are up for grabs when Jenks and Union face one another.

“This is the biggest on the schedule every year doesn't matter anything else we have to beat union,” Haden Crawley, Jenks offensive lineman said.

Friday will be the first time the two teams will play at Alan Trimble Stadium since 1998.

"The Jenks-Union series over the years no matter what, no matter how much experience you have or don't have, what the records are, it turns into a great football game,” Jenks Head Coach Keith Riggs said.

Lineman never seem to get enough love when their teammates score touchdowns but for Jenks Hayden Crawley, he wouldn't have it any other way. Crawley loves doing the dirty work which is also has rubbed off on his other sport: wrestling.

“I try and use that to my advantage,” Crawley said. “I know how to use leverage and use my body weight and their body weight against them, and I think that’s one reason why I'm successful."

All in all, being a lineman isn't for everyone but for Crawley it is just as long as his team beats Union.

"It’s a selfless act being a lineman honestly we love to see when one good block leads to a touchdown,” Crawley said. “It’s going to be a good game and we are determined to win it."
