22 Children, 3 Adults Rescued From Fire At Del City Child Care Center

News 9 has learned 22 children and three adults were rescued from a commercial fire at a Del City day care center Tuesday.

Del City Fire, Midwest City Fire and the Oklahoma City Fire Department all responded shortly after 3 p.m. to help extinguish the flames at the Over The Rainbow Child Development Center located near Southeast 15th Street and Bryant Avenue.

We’re told all children are out of the building and are safe with no injuries. Firefighters said this is thanks to the help of a few Good Samaritans.

One firefighter was taken to a local hospital with reported chest pains.

Investigators have not yet said what caused the fire.
