OKLAHOMA CITY -

Oklahoma City police are investigating a shooting in Bricktown Sunday morning.

Police say it happened on Kings of Leon Lane when they say an officer on patrol heard shots being fired and confronted suspects in a vehicle. At some point an officer did fire their gun. One person is in the hospital this morning and they're expected to be okay. Police say multiple vehicles were hit in the gunfire and that the officer involved will be placed on administrative leave.

Right now, officers are looking into security camera footage from surrounding businesses.

They also say the officer involved was wearing an active body camera. Police say the car seen leaving the shooting was a dark SUV.

Parts of Joe Carter and Kings of Leon Lane in the area are blocked off. Police say they will be closed for much of Sunday morning as they process the scene.
