Mandy's Peanut Butter Bacon Dog Cookies

And now for a treat that both your pooch and you can enjoy together! It's Mandy's Peanut Butter Bacon Dog Cookies.

1 cup natural creamy peanut butter

3/4 cup nonfat milk

1 large egg or 1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce

2 cups whole wheat flour

1 Tablespoon baking powder

1 teaspoon honey

1/3 cup old fashioned oats

1/2 cup cooked bacon, crumbled

Preheat oven to 325 degrees and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. In a medium sized mixing bowl, beat together the peanut butter, milk, and egg till smooth. In a separate bowl combine the dry ingredients and add slowly while mixing into the wet mixture until it starts looking like cookie dough. On a lightly floured surface roll out the dough until 1/4 inch thick and cut out using your favorite shape. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until cookies are browned on the bottom. Flip the cookies over and continue to cook for an additional 10-15 minutes or golden brown on all sides. Remove from the oven and cool. Store cookies in an airtight container.
