2 Arrests In 2 Years, Chase Suspect Caught Again By Police

A man is locked up after leading Edmond police in a high-speed chase near Interstate 35 and 15th Street. News 9 discovered Myron Watson was arrested in 2018 for similar crimes.

A man is locked up after leading Edmond police in a high-speed chase near Interstate 35 and 15th Street.

38-year-old Myron Watson is accused of driving without headlights, almost running into other vehicles, and running red lights while trying to escape officers around 9:30 p.m. Monday night.

Complaints filed against him include: Aggravated Eluding, DUS, Possession of CDS with Intent, Possession of a Firearm during the commission of a felony, Possession of a Firearm after Felony conviction, and Obstruction.

But News 9 discovered Watson was arrested in 2018 for similar crimes.

Myron Cortez Watson, who was 36 at the time, was arrested on June 4, 2018 for aggravated eluding and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. He is accused of leading police on a pursuit that moved through Oklahoma City, Cashion and then into Edmond.

He was eventually caught at Quail Springs Mall.

He pled guilty just a few months later in August.

On Monday night two officers were hurt by glass and debris at the crash scene.

Watson was also tased, but has been medically cleared, and is in custody.
