Oklahoma State was fined $10,000, and men’s basketball team was banned from upcoming postseason in fallout from the corruption scandal.
Officials said in a statement that the former associate head coach, Lamont Evans, had violated "NCAA ethical conduct rules when he accepted $18,150 and $22,000 in bribes."
Officials also said in a release that the Division I Committee on Infractions prescribed that there be three years of probation, a postseason ban for the men's basketball team for 2020-2021 season, a $10,000 fine, and other penalties.
OSU's Department of Athletics said in a release that it will file an appeal of the NCAA penalties.
Officials said the university was "stunned by the severity of the penalties and strongly disagrees with them."
