TPD Continues Recovery Effort As Community Holds Memorial For Missing Toddlers

Tulsa Police crews are continuing to search Mingo Creek for the two missing toddlers Miracle and Tony Crook.

Tulsa Police are continuing to search Mingo Creek for the two missing toddlers Miracle and Tony Crook Jr.

Meanwhile, the family says the past week has been an emotional roller-coaster. Wednesday afternoon the father of those missing toddlers, Tony Crook bonded out of the Rogers County Jail and joined his family at the Shoreline Apartments.

"I’m at a loss for words, I don’t know what to say. I’m shocked," said Crook.

Family members, friends and residents walked down the stairs where the kids were last seen and dropped flowers into the creek. They plan to hold a memorial service at 6 p.m.

Tulsa Police confirmed a child's body was found in the Verdigris river, and it may be connected to the missing children in Tulsa however police said they have not been able to ID the victim yet. Police say they believe the toddlers went into the creek Friday and never resurfaced. Tulsa police say they have multiple crews searching Mingo creek in the northern parts of Tulsa to find the missing toddlers.

Officers say they will be using horses and ATVs to search the area of Mingo Creek and Bird Creek to the Verdigris River. Police say they are having to search over 25 miles of water and that they have multiple crews spread out searching in Tulsa, Wagoner, and Muskogee Counties.

The mother Donisha Willis is now being held in the Tulsa County Jail on two counts of child neglect.
