Organizers have canceled one of my family's favorite summer traditions, Edmond's LibertyFest, a week-long 4th of July celebration. I explained their reasoning, you can find that on my Facebook page, but here's what you had to say about the disappointing news:

"The reasons make sense, but I'm still as frustrated and angry now about basically shutting our entire country down," said Kelly.

"I think canceling something now that happens in July is ridiculous!!!"

said Melissa.

"I understand the why of most of it, but I really wish we could still have had the fireworks!"

said Sarah.

Some were angry with me, Margaret for instance:

"Stop whining and make a new family experience based on common sense and love of others," said

Margaret.

"God Bless you Kelly and God bless the cranky responders! Goodness sake lighten up people," wrote

Darla.

"Give it time. A lot can happen between now and July 4th. It may be on again," said

Elizabeth.

"Kelly, this was excellent.  I appreciated the perspective you shared about EVERYTHING that goes into an event," Deborah wrote.

"We need those things to enjoy after all this pandemic nightmare!! I pray they change their minds!"

said Bonnie.

"I’m also in the vulnerable group, but I think this decision was immature. It is my decision to attend functions if I feel safe. This was called to soon in my opinion," said

Punky.

I'm Kelly Ogle and that's YOUR 2 Cents.
