Man Charged With Murder Of Muskogee 2-Year-Old Remains In Jail With No Bond

A Muskogee County District Court judge has ordered a Muskogee man charged with first degree murder in the death of a 2 year-old boy to remain behind bars with no bond.

A Muskogee County District Court judge has ordered a Muskogee man charged with first degree murder in the death of a 2 year-old boy to remain behind bars with no bond.

Elbert Meeks was in court on Wednesday.

Meeks is charged with first degree murder in the death of Ja'cion Logan on Wednesday, December 21, 2011.

According to court documents, Muskogee Police say Meeks shot and killed the boy with a .380 caliber pistol as Meeks was trying to break into a home in the 1100 block of Indianapolis Avenue.

Ja'cion Logan died later at a Muskogee hospital.

Meeks next court appearance is set for January 11, 2012.
