High Speed Chase In OKC Ends, One Person In Custody

A high speed chase in Northeast Oklahoma City has ended with one person taken into custody.

Police have captured a man responsible for sending them on a high speed chase throughout the metro on Tuesday.

It started around N.E. 27th Street and Mirramar Boulevard around 1 p.m. Tuesday.

Police were attempting to stop Antonio A. Ash, 30, on traffic charges when he fled. Police on the ground and in the air chased Ash in his black SUV for a several minutes until he suddenly jumped from his moving vehicle.

Ash then took off on foot and tried to enter a home located just south of Remington Park near N.E. 23rd and south of Martin Luther King Boulevard. Police caught up with him inside the home where they surrounded him and took him into custody.

Ash faces multiple charges including aggravated attempt to elude, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, driving left of center as well as an Oklahoma County warrant for burglary.

No injuries are reported during the chase.
