Hundreds Without Power Following Hit-And-Run Crash In Bethany

More than 700 OG&E customers are without power in Bethany, Oklahoma, due to a hit-and-run crash early Tuesday morning.

More than 700 OG&E customers are without power in Bethany, Oklahoma, due to a hit-and-run crash early Tuesday morning.

It happened around 2 a.m. at the intersection of N.W.19th and N. Rockwell Avenue. Bethany police said the driver of a car ran the stop sign at the intersection and hit two utility poles. The car then slammed into a carport at a nearby home.

The driver and a passenger got out of the car and took off from the area, according to police. 

No one was hurt in the crash. However, according to OG&E, as of 10 a.m., 733 customers are still without power in the area.
