OKLAHOMA CITY -- Tears, frustration, and anger are some emotions the parents of Carina Saunders share about their daughter's death.

Police found 19-year-old Carina Saunders murdered and stuffed in a duffel bag in Bethany almost three weeks ago. Margie Queen and Richard Saunders said no parent should be forced to bury their child, and certainly not their feelings of frustration for their daughter's killer.

"There is a piece of my life missing and there is a piece of my heart missing," said Richard Saunders, Carina's father.

Carina's mother Margie Queen still cannot believe her daughter is gone.

"I would just really love to have one more hug," Queen said.

Both of Carina's parents can remember the final words they shared with their daughter before she disappeared.

"We hugged each other and we told each other we loved each other," said Queen. "So I just have to hug her in my heart."

Carina's father is holding on to memories of his daughter.

"I miss her hugs and her laughter," he said.

The parents said sorrow does not shadow the happy times spent with Carina, but both of them are overwhelmed with how their daughter died.

"You can't imagine why, why would anyone do something so horrific," Richard Saunders said.

Neither of Carina's parents understands how someone could brutally kill a 19-year-old then place her body in a duffel bag.

"She could do nothing so horrible in her life to deserve something like this, nothing," Queen said.

Now the initial shock of the tragedy is turning to anger. Richard Saunders wants justice brought upon the person responsible.

"A heinous crime like this, there is no words you know in my eyes and my heart I think they deserve the same punishment," he said.

However, nearly three weeks into the murder investigation, there is no one answering for Carina's death.

"The type of person that would do something like this or this atrocity that could do something so inhumane, I don't want to waste my time pleading," Queen said.

Instead, the parents are asking witnesses to open up about October 8 or October 9, the day police believe Carina Saunders was last seen alive.

"Whoever is guilty of this they've got to live with the fact that one day they are going to be caught and have to deal with justice,"Queen said.

The parents said although there are no suspects in the case right now, they talk with investigators on a daily basis and feel confident police will arrest Carina's killer.
