Police Investigate Northwest OKC Shooting

OKLAHOMA CITY --  One person is dead another person was taken to the hospital following a shooting on Oklahoma City's northwest side Saturday night.

Police spent most of the night investigating the incident, which happened in the 6200 block of West Wilshire Blvd. shortly before 10 p.m.

Authorities are not releasing the names of the men and are attempting to contact their family. Witnesses said it was a fight that escalated quickly.

"We'd seen a big group of people behind that truck right over there, and then I thought it was a fight, but then next thing you know I started to hear gun shots," witness Rance McNutt said.

Police said the fight does not appear to be gang-related and many people in a nearby apartment complex were questioned by police as to what they saw.

Police do not have any suspects in custody at this time.
