About 150 airmen from the 552nd Air Control Wing will return to Oklahoma on Tuesday, May 15.

The airmen are scheduled to arrive at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Tinker Air Force Base. They are returning from a six-month deployment supporting on-going operations in Afghanistan.

According to officials, the 552nd Air Control Wing, also known as "America's Wing," provide weather surveillance and communications needed by commanders of U.S. and NATO air defense forces to detect, identify, track fixed-wing aircraft, maritime surface vessels, and to direct friendly aircraft against the enemy before they release ordnance against friendly forces.
