Oklahoma City police arrest a woman for allegedly abusing her 2-year-old daughter in a Walmart parking lot.

Officers arrested Elizabeth Ann Wolfe, 39, on Tuesday, May 15, outside of a Walmart retail store located at 6100 West Reno Avenue in Oklahoma City. According to police, witnesses say Wolfe screamed at her toddler daughter inside the woman's truck. Witnesses told police the little girl was trying to get out of the truck through an open window, when Wolfe allegedly slapped the child 5 to 6 times in the lower half of her body and once to her face.

Court papers show the witness that called police said she saw Wolfe hit the little girl with a closed fist 6 to 7 times below her neck. The witness also told police the woman then got out of the truck with the child and tried to put her into a shopping cart. When the little girl resisted, the witness claims Wolfe then slapped the girl several times on the arm. The witness said Wolfe looked at her and said "This is my *** kid, I can do whatever I want."

Police also talked with another witness who was with Wolfe. That witness told police that Wolfe is "the best mom in the world" and that the girl was just being her two-year-old self, throwing a temper tantrum.

Police took pictures of the toddler's injuries, which include swelling to her left cheek, red marks on her arms and old bruising to her back.

The young victim was taken to Children's Hospital. Wolfe faces parental child abuse charges.
