The University of Oklahoma is working with the Norman Fire Department after a student fell to her death from a building on campus.
Few details are being released about 22-year-old Casey Cooke's fatal fall from Evan's Hall. The OU student's body was found shortly before 3 a.m. Sunday, June 3 near the building. It's believed she fell from a fire escape.
OU spokeswoman Catherine Bishop declined to say how Cooke is believed to have fallen. However, Bishop did say in an email to The Associated Press Wednesday that the university is working with the Norman Fire Department to analyze the safety of the fire escapes and that it would be inappropriate to comment further during the investigation.
The state medical examiner said Cooke died of blunt force trauma and ruled the death accidental.
