Oklahoma City police say two men pushed their way into a southwest Oklahoma City man's home and beat him so severely he later died from his injuries.

Fifty-five-year-old Ricky Michael Wallice's girlfriend told police two men knocked on the door of their home in the 1800 block of S.W. 19th Street on August 29. The woman said when Wallice opened the door, the two men just stood there without speaking.

Wallice asked the men who they were looking for, but Wallice's girlfriend said instead of answering, the men forced their way inside and began punching Wallice.

The woman said she tried to call police, but one of the suspects grabbed the phone from her and broke it. The woman then ran to a bedroom where her 6-year-old son was hiding in a closet. She tried to block the door, but one of the suspects forced his way inside. She said when she started screaming her son was in the room, the suspect left the room and told her to stay inside with the door closed.

The suspects then stole a digital camera, and took the woman's house and car keys before leaving the scene on bicycles.

The woman was finally able to call police, and they arrived at Wallice's residence around 4 p.m. Paramedics rushed the badly-beaten man to the hospital. He died from his injuries September 1.

Police are still searching for Wallice's attackers. One of them was described as a white male in his 40s or 50s with gray hair and a gray beard. He was around 6 feet tall and 180 pounds. The second suspect was a black male in his 20s or 30s, 5 feet 9 inches tall and 150 pounds. He was wearing a do-rag at the time of the attack.

Anyone with information about the fatal attack is urged to call the Homicide Tip Line at (405) 297-1200.
