A mother in Edmond says her son rode his bicycle more than eight miles to escape a man who was trying to force him into a truck.

It happened on Friday near Danforth and Santa Fe. The 8-year-old says the man was wearing a ski mask and followed him as he rode his bike.

The boy finally stopped at a house when he spotted an Oklahoma City police car.

Now, the family wants everyone to be on the lookout.

"I did go get walkie-talkies, whistle, Mace. The guy definitely picked the wrong neighborhood and the wrong mom to mess with, because I'm going to find him," the boy's mother Beth Lamey said.

The suspect is described as a white man who stands 6 feet 2 inches tall. He is skinny and has a deep voice. He was wearing a ski mask and black shirt, according to Edmond police.

Because this started in Edmond and ended in Oklahoma City, Both police departments are now investigating.
