The OSBI has issued an arrest warrant for a man in connection with the stabbing death of a former Blackwell police officer.

Agents say Janett Reyna, 29, was stabbed in her apartment at 1013 South 10th Street in Blackwell Thursday morning. She was taken to a nearby hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

The OSBI and Blackwell Police Department are searching for 29-year-old Luis Octavio Frias, who is wanted for Reyna's death. Frias is described as 5-foot-11, and weighing about 200 pounds. Investigators believe he is on foot, at this time.

Reyna is the mother of Frias' three children. The three young children, who agents say were inside the apartment when their mother was stabbed, have been taken into protective custody.

Agents say Reyna had filed for a victim protection order in Kay County Tuesday. She was stabbed to death Thursday morning.

Anyone with information about Frias' whereabouts is asked to call the OSBI at 1-800-522-8017.
