Some firefighters felt a jolt as they rushed to fight a fire in northwest Oklahoma City. A large hole suddenly opened up on a bridge as the fire truck crossed it.
Around 5 a.m. Tuesday, crews were called to a fire at a vacant duplex near N.W. 42nd Street and Indiana. As firefighters arrived, part of a small bridge crumbled beneath the fire truck, leaving behind a large hole.
Barriers have been placed around the hole and drivers are being urged to avoid the area.
Firefighters quickly doused the fire. No one was hurt. The duplex was for sale and neighbors said no one had lived there for a while. There was also a fire at the same duplex a few weeks ago.
