A former employee of a Canadian County youth rehabilitation center has been arrested after being accused of raping a 15-year-old boy.

On Wednesday, Canadian County Sheriff’s deputies arrested 32-year-old Amy Maschell Thompson of Yukon, after she confessed to investigators that she had sex with a 15-year-old boy.

According to the Sheriff’s office, the mother of the victim reported to deputies that Thompson had sexually molested her son. Thompson admitted she met the victim while she was an employee of the Fort Reno Adolescent Drug and Rehabilitation Center.

The victim’s mother said her son was receiving treatment at the center.

Thompson’s duties while she was employed there included providing supervision and care to the patients receiving treatment. She left the center in July, 2014, and admitted to committing six separate incidents of lewd acts with a minor by touching the boy inappropriately.

Investigators said they were able to determine that from the period of February 2014 to present, Thompson had engaged in a criminal relationship with the victim by sexually molesting him. The lewd acts both occurred at the rehabilitation center and on center-sponsored field trips while Thompson was an employee.

Thompson told investigators she contacted the boy on Facebook earlier this week and orchestrated a romantic get-a-way for the two at an Oklahoma City area motel for the night, according to the Sheriff’s office.

Investigators said the victim snuck out of his home and Thompson transported him to the motel. Once they checked into the motel, Investigators said Thompson provided the victim alcohol and got him drunk. She then raped the young boy.

"This is the first case of a female child predator we have encountered. Most females are associated as having maternal instincts and taking care of children, not raping them," said Randall Edwards, Canadian County Sheriff.

Thompson was transported to the Canadian County Jail and booked for six counts of lewd acts against a minor, and first-degree rape. Thompson remains in jail with her bond set at $350,000.
