The search is on for two people accused in a suspected Southwest Oklahoma City murder plot. Oklahoma City Police believe the killer committed the crime for his girlfriend.

Police said on December 5, a mother came home to the 1200 block of SW 38th Street and made a terrible discovery. She told police the place was a mess and her son was dead on his bedroom floor.

“It is very clear that some type of struggle took place, which led to his death inside the residence,” MSgt. Gary Knight said December 6.

Police said the victim, 21-year-old Ulises Lopez, was lying on his side. It appeared his legs had been bound at one point with duct tape, and his wrists bound with zip ties, according to an investigator.

Police said the victim's lower face and head were "completely wrapped in silver duct tape" and a large black leather belt was wrapped around his neck extremely tight.

The next day, police said they got a tip about what may have led to this murder.

Police were told 30-year-old Della Nichols said she sent her boyfriend, 29-year-old Adrian Escajeda, to assault the man and do "street justice" after believing Lopez sexually touched her 6-year-old daughter.

The court filing also shows police met with both Nichols and Escajeda at their home on Lakeview Drive, where they said the smell of bleach was strong.

According to the affidavit, the two went to OCPD headquarters voluntarily to talk with investigators this week. But police said they were very deceptive with their answers.

After the short interviews, police got a search warrant and later found a text on Escajeda's phone. According to the court document, they believe it was sent to Nichols.

It said in part, "I love you I did this for you... I accept whatever is coming for me."

Police believe the 6-year-old girl is most likely still with her mother.
