2 Dead After Murder-Suicide In East Tulsa

Tulsa police have released new details about a murder-suicide at a duplex near East 11th Street and South 129th East Avenue. They were called to the home around 10 p.m. Sunday, December 2.

According to authorities, a man shot his wife before he turned the gun on himself. 

Dead are Lia Moua, 48, and his 25-year-old wife. Her name has not yet been released. 

Police said the couple's son was the one who found them dead at the Hickory Hollow duplexes, with a gun lying next to his dad. They determined the man killed his wife before turning the gun on himself.

Nancy Dowdell lives a few doors down, and she said the couple had been fighting a lot lately - but she never thought it would come to this.

"I mean, I know that they were fussing and feuding and everything else, but other than that, it was just kind of shocking to come home and see so many cop cars out here," she said.

There were children in the home at the time of the deaths, but they did not see what happened, according to Tulsa Police. Detectives state the motive for murder appears to be a domestic issue between the couple.
