OHP Investigating Fatal Wagoner County Crash

A man is dead after a crash late Friday night in Wagoner County.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says the crash happened shortly after 11:00 p.m. Friday on Toppers Road.

Troopers say the driver, identified as 32-year-old Robert Nichols of Wagoner, swerved for an unknown reason, left the roadway, and hit a tree.

They say Nichols was pronounced dead at the scene.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
