Since Tuesday evening, police say they've investigated at least four separate armed robberies across Tulsa, with at least two appearing to be related.

One of the robberies occurred at the McDonald’s in the 1300 block of South Harvard.  Police say two men, armed with handguns and knives, robbed the restaurant at around 11:15 p.m. on Tuesday.

They say this robbery was unusual for Tulsa, with the robbers not just carrying guns, but also pointed them at the employees.

“We haven’t had any of these in several months,” said Sergeant Brian Blair.

Police say they thought at first that the same group was responsible for a robbery at the KFC in the 4900 block of South Union just after 9:00 p.m. Tuesday.  However, they say video from the Mazzio’s next door, and a witness, indicates a different suspect, driving a 2000 model Acura or Honda with blue tape around the driver’s side tail light.

Officers say the robber entered the restaurant just before closing, pulled out a large machete and demanded money.  Police say after the robbery, a worker chased the man to the back of the building, where he jumped a fence and got into a silver or tan Acura or Honda, which drove off.

Shortly after midnight, police were called to the Sonic in the 4900 block of East 71st Street.

They say several men forced their way in, pointed guns at the workers, and demanded money.  After getting cash, the men left in an unknown direction.

Police say surveillance video showed the men had their faces covered, but they were young men wearing black or gray hoodies.

“They come in with guns, takeover-style robbery, point the guns at the clerks, get the cash, and run out of the store,” said Blair.  “It appears they have waiting cars for them, both instances.”

And then, just before 1 a.m. Wednesday, officers were called to the QuikTrip in the 1400 block of East 71st Street.

A woman told police told officers she was walking in the area of Graham Park in the 6600 block of South Yorktown when a white or tan beat up car pulled up and two men inside pointed guns at her.  After taking her wallet, the pair drove off.

Police say no one was hurt in any of the robberies and no one has been arrested.
