Person Robbed At Gunpoint Near UCO

<p>A person has been robbed at gunpoint neat the University of Central Oklahoma Campus, officials confirm. </p>

Edmond police are investigating after a person was robbed at gunpoint near the University of Central Oklahoma Campus Thursday afternoon.

According to police, the suspect got into the victims car, and robbed him of his phone at gunpoint in the parking lot of the the 7-11 near East Ayers Street and North University Drive at approximately 2:30 p.m.

The victim told police that he and the suspect know each other.

The suspect was driving a burgundy Chevrolet Malibu and was last seen heading North.

The suspect is not in custody, but officials said this incident does not appear to be a random armed robbery.

Central Alert: An individual has reported to Edmond Police that he was robbed at gunpoint outside 7-11 at Ayers and University at approximately 2:30pm. Suspect last seen heading north in a burgundy Chevrolet Malibu. We will update as new information becomes available.
