Two Oklahoma City police officers are among the crew of Oklahoma City metro officers and firefighters who are assisting in North Carolina after Florence.
Sgt. Jesse Childers and Sgt. Wyatt Devin said their missions have included going door-to-door, evacuating homes and helping flood victims to safety.
Childers told the Oklahoma City Police Department they are working hard and it's long hours, "but the reward is helping those affected by this disaster."
Childers and Devin are a part of the Urban Search and Rescue Task Force and are with representatives from the fire department, Moore, Norman, Chichasha and Edmond.
