Many Green Country first responders are honoring 9/11 victims as they spend the day climbing one of downtown Tulsa's tallest towers.

The Stair Climb took place at the First Place Tower.

The first responders started making their way up the stairs just before 9 a.m. Tuesday morning.

More than 140 firefighters, officers, and paramedics came together to reflect on the victims of the 2001 attacks.

Every first responder carried with them the name of another emergency responder killed during 9/11.

Price Family Properties started hosting the event last year after a Tulsa firefighter asked company leaders to use one of their buildings for the climb.

Now, it's something that people all over downtown want to be a part of.

"The tenants from the building, the people in surrounding areas, everyone wanted to be a part of it because it is so moving and special," Jackie Price with Price Family Properties.

TFD said more than 11 different departments were involved including first responders from Kansas and Colorado.
